Information for authors SENE’23

Before preparing and sending a paper, please register or log in and go to the "My papers" tab. There you will find article formatting templates and the submission procedure.

Each paper submitted to the SENE’23 will be published in the conference proceedings, issued electronically with a unique ISBN.

The Scientific Committee invites you to submit papers for the SENE'23 conference in two categories:

  • Regular papers

The regular paper presents the results of original research work, following the generally accepted standards in the discipline of Automatic Control, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics. The Scientific Committee addresses the submitted work to at least two reviewers. The submitted papers will be reviewed following the requirements of the Editors of the Przegląd Elektrotechniczny.

If the Authors submit an appropriate copyright declaration, then, based on the positive reviews of the Scientific Committee, after considering the changes and additions made by the Authors after the conference, the paper will be accepted for publication in the Przegląd Elektrotechniczny and published in one of the first issues of the Przegląd Elektrotechniczny in the year 2024. The conference fee does not cover the costs of publishing in the Przegląd Elektrotechniczny. The Scientific Committee is in contact with the editorial offices of The Archives of Electrical Engineering and The Bulletin of the Polish Academy of Sciences: Technical Sciences, which will accept the Committee's recommendations regarding the publication of selected papers.

  • Short papers – late-breaking results

The short paper describes preliminary research results, hypotheses, or research plans. It should include the title, author information, keywords, abstract, and bibliography. A short paper aims in presenting an interesting topic for discussion at the conference, not publishing a full research paper. Each short paper will be reviewed, included in the conference proceedings, and should be presented during the conference.

Competition for young scientists

The Scientific Committee will award the traditional prize for the best work presented by a young Author at SENE'22. The IEEE Poland Section is the patron of the award. The Scientific Committee awards the prize based on, inter alia: opinions of reviewers, assessment of the session chairman, opinion of conference participants.

Papers that meet the following conditions are eligible for the competition for young authors:

  1. the work was submitted to SENE'23 as a regular paper (not a short paper),
  2. the paper presents the results of research by an author who does not have a doctoral degree, or conducted during the preparation of a recently defended doctoral dissertation, and is presented at the Conference in person,
  3. in the case of co-authored works, all authors must meet the competition requirements, and the only exception is the work of a doctoral student co-authored by his supervisor.
